“I thought you were a vegetarian place ?”, said K as the waiter took our order.

A few days ago I’d replied to a Tweet from @giraffetweet promising something local and interesting.

True to their form a day later I received an invite for K and myself to eat at their expense at a local restaurant they had recently taken over.

I’ve seen Giraffe restaurants in London but never eaten in one so I was surprised at just what they had on offer.

“That’s not all we really do”, said Emma the current manager, “When we get our proper equipment in we can offer the real menu”.

It’s refreshing and surprising to see a company to use social media so effectively but all the more so when their vision is carried down to people on the shop floor.

From attentive service through to the good sense to put people who wanted to eat their in the window all that we saw of Giraffe this evening is impressive.
