Yet Another Scrappage Scheme

Radio ‘scrappage’ scheme to boost sales of digital sets
People could get 20 per cent off the price of digital radio when they hand in their analogue set, under a “scrappage” scheme aimed at hastening the digital switchover.

I can’t see this driving more people to upgrade to DAB.  For one thing I couldn’t get our local radio station – which was invaluable in the recent snowpocalypse.  Nor could I get the wide range of stations that I now listen to on Internet radio.

Isn’t it time we declared DAB dead and buried and had a serious rethink about it
